Description:

HM Inspectorate of Probation completed a thematic inspection report of the experiences of black and mixed heritage boys in the youth justice system. Made available by HM Inspectorate of Probation are also the presentation slides for the experiences of black and mixed heritage boys in the youth justice system and youtube video of the presentation.

The scope of this inspection covered the work of youth justice services and the coordination of service delivery with partner agencies. HM Inspectorate of Probation considered both how partners worked together to understand and meet the needs of black and mixed heritage boys and also to what extent they considered the boys in their own separate agencies. The inspection looked at the work done with black and mixed heritage boys at all stages of the youth justice system, including diversion.
