Cheshire Youth Justice Service’s victim audit tool
Summary:

Cheshire Youth Justice Service has developed a victim audit tool to ensure practice supports HM Inspectorate of Probation framework expectations for victims of crime and to inform development plans.
Description:
The victim audit tool helps youth justice practitioners reflect on their work with victims of crime and determine areas of effective practice and areas for development. The audit tool forms part of local quality assurance processes which aim to understand the quality of practice and compliance with standards.
The audit tool includes different sections with relevant questions for each, for example safety, planning and the role of other support outside of the service. The tool finishes with a conclusion section which asks the practitioner to rate the level of support given and how far the victim’s voice was included in the process.
