Summary:
The London Resettlement Partnership Pathfinder has launched a constructive resettlement website aimed at improving outcomes for children by working in partnership to support their return to the community.
Description:
The London Resettlement Partnership, a Pathfinder project partly funded by the YJB, has launched the Constructive Resettlement website. The website has been created by, and for, people working with children across the Youth Justice System.
The London Resettlement Partnership was launched in 2020 with partners including all 32 London Boroughs, Association of London Directors of Children- Services, Ministry of Justice, Youth Justice Board, Youth Custody Service, Mayors Office for Policing and Crime and NHS England. The London Resettlement Partnership aims to improve outcomes for children by working in partnership to present real opportunities that support their return to the community with the aim of reducing reoffending.
The website outlines the theory of Constructive Resettlement and provides some practical resources with real stories about how positive change can be made in children- lives. Although focussed on London, the principals of Constructive Resettlement apply across England and Wales.
