Cwm Taf Youth Offending Prevention and Early Intervention Service have shared a short practice example, which provides details on their prevention and diversion services for children. This includes the background of the service, implementation and delivery, case examples, lessons learned, practice evaluations and future development.
Cwm Taf Youth Offending Prevention and Early Intervention Service have also shared their prevention service referral form.
Cwm Taf Youth Offending Prevention and Early Intervention Service have adopted a trauma informed approach to its work with all children, termed locally relationship building practice modelled around Enhanced Case Management (ECM).
The service offers preventative support to children aged 8-17 years who are on the fringes of the youth justice system and aims to divert those that have committed an offence for the first time through its Youth Bureau process.
