Evaluation of the Youth Justice Board Pilot Resettlement Support Panel Scheme – Youth Justice Board (2009)
Summary:
Evaluation of the Youth Justice Board Pilot Resettlement Support Panel Scheme.
Description:
In July 2009 six youth justice services (YJS) in Wales participated in a pilot to expand effective resettlement provision for children aged 12-17 who were either leaving custody or were at risk of entering custody. The Resettlement Support Panel Scheme aims to support these children as they are preparing to leave custody to ensure that they are supported on their desistence journey.

- The Resettlement Support Panel also seeks to support children around family and peer mediation; appropriate use of leisure time; developing life skills; raising confidence and self-esteem; and finally making positive decision.
