Healthy sexual behaviours leaflets – Gwynedd Council’s Tîm Emrallt
Summary:
Gwynedd Council’s Tîm Emrallt (Harmful Sexual Behaviour Team) has developed a selection of leaflets to help parents, carers and professionals understand healthy sexual behaviours from the ages of 0-18 years-old.
Description:

These leaflets have been developed by Gwynedd’s Tîm Emrallt, the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Team at Gwynedd Council, and they have been successfully used in Gwynedd & Ynys Môn Youth Justice Service.
The leaflets are intended to be an informative tool, providing advice on what sexual behaviours are appropriate and safe and those that are unsafe for different age ranges (0-4, 5-7, 8-12, 13-15 and 16-18). The behaviours are grouped into colour-coded categories: green, amber and red.
By using these leaflets as a tool, parents and professionals can assess a child’s behaviour against the criteria, and if necessary, provide guidance on where to raise concerns quickly for amber or red behaviours and what to do next. The leaflets are available in both English and Welsh.
There is no cost to running this practice unless the leaflets are printed. However, if the leaflets are used online only, there is no cost attached.
