The purpose for the guidance is to support local housing authorities to ensure that they are able to exercise their functions relating to homelessness and prevention of homelessness.

Description:

The Secretary of State for Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has issued the Homelessness Code of Guidance for Local Authorities. Please note that this code replaces and consolidates the previous version published in 2006 and the supplementary guidance issued in August 2009, November 2012 and November 2014.
