Description:

Manchester Metropolitan University, in partnership with the Alliance for Youth Justice (AYJ) are working on a study concerned with the impact of COVID-19 in youth justice. The study aims to understand the unprecedented implications that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the youth justice system and the vulnerable children it works with.

• The Youth Justice System- Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic Research Paper (June 2021) explores youth justice services adaptations to practice and service delivery. Available also are some reflections from the youth justice sector which may be of interest.
• The Youth Justice System- Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic Children- Welfare Needs and Vulnerabilities (January 2022) explores children’s welfare needs and vulnerabilities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
• The Youth Justice System- Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic Partnership Working (February 2022) explores the impact of Covid-19 on multi-agency partnership work.
