Lambeth youth justice service have shared their increasing the literacy to inspire BRIGHT future programme pathway. The programme is aimed at all children and families in the community and children in custody and is split into three main projects; project one: read and share (child and family), project two: book club for the community (access to books in the youth justice service building for children) and project three: secure book club (for children in custody).
The ethos behind the programme is one concerned with increasing literacy but also one that supports better communication between children and families and for children in custody to decrease sense of isolation.
