Intervention Sessions for Children – Child First Pathfinder (November 2022)

The Child First Pathfinder have shared their intervention resources used with children around county lines and disproportionality.
Description:
Child First Pathfinder through Youth Ink have shared the following resources, which have been created and delivered in Southwark Youth Justice Service by Youth Ink:
- ‘County Lines: Should young people involved in county lines be classed as criminals?’: The Pathfinder has shared both the session plan and session to use with children. The learning outcomes of the session include for children to learn about county lines, to learn about exploitation and to talk about who might be at risk of criminal exploitation and why.
- ‘Disproportionality?’: The Pathfinder has shared both the session plan and session to use with children. The learning outcomes of the session include for children to understand disproportionality, to understand the differences between equality, equity and justice and to be able to recognise their own and others’ feelings.
- ‘Child Criminal Exploitation and Child Sexual Exploitation’: The Pathfinder has shared both the session plan and session to use with children. The learning outcomes for this session include for children to have an understanding of what Child Sexual Exploitation is, to have an understanding of what Child Criminal Exploitation is, to know the signs of risk of exploitation and to know where to turn to for support.
The Child First Pathfinder has also shared an evaluation of Youth Ink: interim report completed by Middlesex University London, which may also be of interest.
