The Department for Education has published guidance: child sexual exploitation: definition and guide for practitioners (2017), which aims to provide an overview of the definition of child sexual exploitation, potential vulnerabilities and indicators of abuse and appropriate action to take in response. The guide is split into two main sections:

  • Section A: advice for all practitioners who work with children
  • Section B: advice for managers and strategic leaders.
