Referral Order Guidance - Youth Justice Board (2018)

Summary: Acess to the Referral Order Guidance for youth justice services to use with children that have received a Referral Order in Court.

 

 

Description: 

The Youth Justice Board has published the Referral Order Guidance (October 2018). This guidance gives information on:

  • the legislation setting up referral orders
  • (youth offender) panels and their part in the referral process
  • making the orders in court
  • the role of youth justice services
  • recruiting representative panels
  • training and supporting panel members

 

In 2018, the Youth Justice Board also created a short slidepack, aimed at supporting youth justice services to embed the 2018 revised guidance. The slides have not been reviwed since 2018, however there may still be some infomation that may be of interest.
