Description:
This local offending / reoffending tracker has successfully been used by the Vale of Glamorgan Youth Justice and Early Support Service (YJESS) since 2018. The service’s information officer has produced accompanying slides explaining how the tool is used in the Vale of Glamorgan. These slides were presented at a workshop by the Vale of Glamorgan YJESS’s Information Officer to the Wales Information Officer’s Group (WIOG) demonstrating how the tool is used by the service.
The tracker captures all children who have started any intervention. This live tracker allows for children to be brought to the attention of practitioners sooner and for earlier multi-agency conversations to take place. This tracker is updated quarterly, and data is shared with the Management Board (as well as any case studies relating to specific children tracked) to improve understanding of suitability of interventions and if there are any matters for escalation as a partnership.
