Description:
The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts (PCSC) Act 2022 will take effect on the 28th of June 2022. The Act introduces changes in relation to sentencing, remand, and electronic monitoring of children which will impact youth justice in a number of ways. The Ministry of Justice have made available a short video and associated slides detailing those key changes.
A ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ document collating answers to questions asked during the briefing sessions run by the Electronic Monitoring Business change team and Youth Justice Policy team to youth justice services about the Act changes, as well as further guidance concerning Detention and Training Orders calculations, has also been provided.
