Summary

Suffolk County Lines Pathfinder have shared a resource, associated evaluation and further resources aimed at supporting professionals in increasing their confidence in working with those children who experience exploitation.

Description

Suffolk County Lines Pathfinder have shared their identifying elements of cultural competence within a child criminal exploitation cohort (please be aware that some of the /wp-content/uploads/media used depict violence and harm and may be triggering to some people).

The resource is aimed at supporting professionals in increasing their confidence in working with those who experience exploitation. The training and resources were also evaluated by Traverse, assessing how helpful the final product had been for practitioners, and for managers leading teams of practitioners.

The resource was created through reflection of knowledge and information of child criminal exploitation, child sexual exploitation and domestic abuse across a range of disciplines including social work, psychology, and youth work.
The resource has a variety of video and audio clips including a webinar from Dr Kate Budge on trauma and child exploitation.

The County Lines Pathfinder has also shared:
Interview questions that could be used to supplement current process.
Reflective questions and tasks that can be used as part of individual or group supervision.
