Understanding Why Looked After Children in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are Over Represented in the Criminal Justice System Report and Joint Protocol - Staffordshire Youth Offending Team (2017)

Summary:  Stoke-on-Trent have shared their report and joint protocol to support away children looked after from the criminal justice system.




Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Offender Management Commissioning Development Board (with funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire) have jointly produced 'Understanding why looked after children in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are over represented in the Criminal Justice System report (2017).

The purpose of the report was to better understand the local picture of children in care who were involved in the criminal justice system to support shape the commissioning response in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. They released a Joint Protocol to Reduce the Prosecution of Looked After Children.
