Attached below are the following:

1. Safe recruitment of volunteers report is a word document that details some of the requirements necessary to determine the appropriate level of safeguarding through the use of referees, introductory or trial period, a comprehensive induction and training programme and an enhanced DBS check.
2. Application form is a word document which Dorset Combined has created which they use for the recruitment of volunteers

Implementing the practice:

• The application form is emailed or posted to prospective volunteers.
• The report is completed, on a three yearly basis by the volunteer coordinator at Dorset Combined YOS.
• The report gives an overview of good practice when recruiting volunteers and is a tool to support to highlight to the YOS management team where the YOS’s strengths and weaknesses are.
