Serious Youth Violence Stocktake – YJB (February 2020)

The Serious Youth Violence (SYV) stocktake is an optional method of self-assessment. This tool has been created to provide Youth offending team (YOT) managers and partners with the opportunity and means to reflect on the service they and their partners provide. It is designed to support the partnership to identify gaps and strengths in the work being done to reduce serious youth violence.

Please note, that the Serious Youth Violence data toolkit is only available for YOTs. It contains a breakdown of published data, and more recent provisional, management information. Furthermore, individual YOTs are able to access demographic data. The SYV Data Toolkit will be updated quarterly and is available to YOTs via the Youth Justice Application Framework Document Library.

If you have any queries regarding the toolkit/data, please contact the YJB Information and Analysis team, for any other queries regarding the stocktake please contact the Programme Support Office who will be able to support you.

To support partnership work within the Youth Justice wider sector, the YJB for England and Wales have produced a sharable version called ‘Serious Youth Violence Dashboard’. The Dashboard, is updated yearly and it contains published data from youth justice statistics. If you require access to this, please contact the information and analysis team.
