- Support practitioners and managers to continue to work effectively with children through COVID-19.
Description:
Essex Youth Offending Team has collated some ‘top tips‘ that can be used to facilitate and maintain positive working relationships with children, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes examples of different ways practitioners can stay in contact with children, how they can encourage children to maintain positive mental health during the pandemic through both activities and discussion. Whilst this resource was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the tips will be applicable to youth justice practice more generally.
Implementing the practice:
- Essex YOS has shared the attached with all staff.
- Practitioners should use and implement any of the ‘tips’ they are appropriate for individual children.
