Description
Unitas, in partnership with the Youth Justice Board have created the trauma-informed practice effective practice award, accredited by Skills For Justice Awards. The Effective Practice Award has been created to complement a growing awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences on children- lifestyles and well-being.
This award is intended to assist the sector in learning more about trauma and how some of the tools and techniques associated with it can be employed in practice.
The Award has four main elements:
- theories and principles connected to trauma,
- exploration of trauma-informed approaches,
- trauma-informed relationship-based practice,
- the challenges for practice.
Registration for the five-week course is through Unitas.
