Description:
The Trial Support Booklet was created in collaboration with a child, based on information they thought other children might like staff to know before a trial.
Clayfields House has found it beneficial to complete the booklet with children during intervention or key work sessions and share it with all staff before their trial. The booklet can be adapted to suit different youth justice settings.
The Trial Support Booklet includes sections to work through with children including:
- Personal triggers in court
- Recognising and managing emotions
- Support before and after the trial
