The Children‘s Society has published the report Understanding Adolescent Neglect: Troubled Teens. A study of the links between parenting and adolescent neglect 2016. The study is based on a survey of around 1,000 students in Year 10 (14-15 year olds). Children were asked about their experiences with parents or carers who failed to monitor their activities outside of the home, make sure they got adequate healthcare or took little interest in their education.
