Description:

The Youth Justice Institute has made available youth diversion training Effective Practice Award (EPA )course. It is designed for volunteers and staff to support understanding the key principles of diversion from the formal criminal justice system – either out of court disposal or prosecution, and the implications of these in everyday practice with children and young people who have been arrested for relatively low-level offences.

All resources and courses will be linked to the Youth Justice Professional Framework (YJPF) and the youth justice skills matrix and offer opportunities for tutorial support, assessment of work and accreditation which are all vital aspects of the quality assurance of learning.
