This study from researchers based at Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Bedfordshire, set out to identify the extent and nature of ethnic disproportionality at the entry point to the Youth Justice System (YJS) and examine the factors contributing to it. It also set out to develop recommendations for policy and practice, emphasising the changes needed in decision-making to reduce ethnic disproportionality.
